  • Cardiff Castle

  • National Museum Cardiff

    (Allow 1 - 3 hours)
    The Museum’s new galleries house one of Europe’s finest Impressionist art collections, including work by Renoir, van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne, alongside ceramics, drawings, sculpture, silver and other paintings spanning 500 years.  Situated in the heart of Cardiff’s elegant civic centre, the Museum also houses Wales’s national archaeology, geology and natural history collections. Free entry, closed Mondays.

  • Shopping

    (Allow 1 hour or up to half a day)
    Cardiff’s reputation as one of the top shopping destinations in the UK is fully deserved.  Much of the shopping centre is under cover, and almost all of it is pedestrianised. But the thing visitors tell us they enjoy most is that the centre is so compact, yet it’s packed with stylish department stores, designer shops, historic arcades, a covered Victorian market, and modern malls.  Away from the modern malls, visitors shouldn’t miss the Victorian and Edwardian arcades, dating from the late 19th onwards. The arcades each have their distinctive character, with plenty of small boutiques to browse and cafes to sit in and watch the world go by …

  • Millennium Stadium
