1. Puffin Watching
Take a trip to the sea bird sanctuary of Skomer Island. During the Spring, Skomer is the nesting site for thousands of Gulls, Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Peregrines, Shearwaters, Razorbills & Puffins, which can be viewed from only a few feet away.
2. Celtic Connections
North Pembrokeshire was a stronghold of the Celts. The Preseli mountains are thought to be where the Stonehenge bluestones originated from. Transporting them 300 miles using Iron Age technology is one of the wonders of the ancient world. The tour, led by a local expert, includes a visit to Castell Henllys, a reconstructed Iron Age hill fort and Pentre Ifan a 3,000 year old cromlech (tomb). The tour can also include Welsh story telling, singing and music.
3. Historic Houses, Castles & Gardens
Visit Picton Castle, a medieval Norman castle and now a grand country house; the magnificent Aberglasney Gardens and the elegant Georgian villa Llanerchaeron, set in the wooded Aeron valley.
